Kenzley and the Lost Crown

Kenzley is a little girl. She lives in a tall castle. Kenzley is kind and brave. She has a shiny toy crown. One morning she wakes up. She sees the crown is gone. She feels a tiny tingle of worry. She wants to find her crown. She looks in her soft bed. She lifts her quilt. She looks under her pillow. She looks inside her small box. The crown is not there. She sits on a small stool. She does not know where to look. Then she calls softly, I need help. A gentle Imaginary Animal appears. It has furry ears and a happy face. It reaches out its small paws. It says, I will help you. Kenzley smiles and holds its paw. They walk down a bright hallway. They look by the wooden door. They look by the tall window. They look by the grand mirror. The crown is not there. Kenzley feels a little sad. Imaginary Animal nudges her hand. Kenzley breathes and feels calm. Then a friendly Horse trots in. Horse has a long mane. Horse has soft hoofs. Horse says, Neigh, I can help. Kenzley nods with joy. Horse steps softly beside them. They go to the castle kitchen. They look by the big oven. They look by the wooden shelf. They look by the cooking pot. The crown is not there. They walk to the dining hall. They search near the long table. They search under the chairs. They search beside a tapestry. The crown is not there. They trot to the tall tower. They climb the winding stairs. They check the round window. They check the small balcony. They check the dusty chest. The crown is not there. Kenzley takes a deep breath. She feels hope in her heart. Imaginary Animal whispers words. Horse gives a gentle nuzzle. Kenzley smiles once more. They walk to the castle library. They read a big red book. They read a small blue book. They read a yellow map. The crown is not there. Kenzley rubs her chin. She thinks of a hidden room. They hurry through a secret door. They find a bright little room. They see a colorful trunk. Kenzley lifts the lid gently. She gasps with big delight. Inside sits the shiny crown. Kenzley reaches in to take it. The crown glitters in her hand. Kenzley feels happy and proud. She thanks Imaginary Animal. She thanks Horse too. Then Princess comes through the door. Princess wears a blue dress. She smiles with shining eyes. She says, I kept your crown safe. I saw it in this trunk. Kenzley hugs Princess softly. They all laugh and jump. Horse prances in a circle. Imaginary Animal does a twirl. Kenzley puts the crown on. It fits just right. Sunlight fills the bright room. They step out on soft grass. They share a sweet snack. They sip some cool juice. They eat a small cake. Birds sing songs above them. Butterflies dance in light breeze. Kenzley feels warm in her heart. She knows friends help her find things. She thanks her friends again. They all wave goodbye softly. Kenzley walks back to her bed. She places the crown on her shelf. She settles down with a smile. The castle is happy and calm. Kenzley closes her eyes. She dreams of new adventures. She smiles as she sleeps. The end. Goodnight, little queen. Night.
