Lil Boo is a little girl. She wears a small purple hat. She clutches her favorite Doll. Doll wears a tiny pink dress. One sunny day, Lil Boo and Doll go to the Amusement Park. The park has bright lights and happy music. Rides spin round and round. Lil Boo giggles. Doll giggles too. They skip on the green grass path. Lil Boo is curious. Doll is cheerful. They walk hand in hand.
Suddenly, Lil Boo feels worried. She checks her pockets. Her special park ticket is gone. She pats her hat. No ticket. She pats her coat. No ticket. Doll hops up and down. Doll says, “We will find it.” Lil Boo nods. She remembers her quest. She must find the lost ticket. They begin to search.
First, they look by the red slide. Slide is tall and shiny. Lil Boo lifts a blue block. No ticket. Doll checks the yellow flower patch. No ticket. They look on the soft sand by the sandbox. Lil Boo brushes sand away. No ticket. Doll digs with her small cloth hand. No ticket. Lil Boo sighs. Doll pats Lil Boo’s cheek. Doll says, “Try again.”
Lil Boo feels brave. She holds Doll tight. They walk to the candy stall. The candy smells sweet. A friendly vendor smiles at them. Lil Boo asks, “Have you seen my ticket?” Vendor shakes his head. He points to the big Ferris wheel. Doll waves. Lil Boo thanks the vendor. They skip away.
They reach the Ferris wheel. It is tall like a giant. Lil Boo looks up. Doll jumps. They spot a shadow. A gentle Giant stands beside the ride. He is soft and slow. His coat is blue. His shoes are big. The Giant covers his ears. The wheel is noisy. Lil Boo feels shy. Doll encourages her. Doll says, “Hello, Giant.” The Giant smiles. He bends down.
Lil Boo asks, “Did you see a ticket?” Giant shakes his head. He shows his big empty hand. But then he says, “Wait.” He whistles softly. He reaches deep into his pocket. He pulls out a small paper. It is Lil Boo’s ticket. Lil Boo’s eyes light up. She says, “Thank you.” She hugs the paper ticket. Doll leaps up and claps.
Lil Boo smiles at the Giant. Doll waves goodbye. The Giant waves his big hand. He grins. Lil Boo and Doll skip back to the gate. They show the ticket. They jump on a merry ride. They spin in a soft pink cup. They laugh and laugh. They eat sweet cotton candy. They share a big taste.
At the end of the day, Lil Boo feels proud. She found her ticket. She helped the Giant, too. Doll hugs Lil Boo. Lil Boo hugs Doll. They sit as the sun sets. The sky is pink. They feel warm. They feel happy. Lil Boo whispers, “Thank you, Doll.” Doll whispers back, “Thank you, Lil Boo.” They wave to the park lights. They feel safe. They feel loved.
And so Lil Boo and her Doll go home. They dream of more adventures. The end.
