Supergirl and the Sleepy Color Crystals

Kids stories

In Ether Forest, Queen’s colors begin to fade. Supergirl and Moon Child meet the strict Crystal Guardian, find three sleepy Color Crystals, and wake them with gentle hands and a soft song—then Supergirl earns a pouch of glowing star treasures for her cape.
Supergirl and the Sleepy Color Crystals

Supergirl is a superhero. She is kind. She is brave. She is also a little shy.

One morning, Supergirl walks into Ether Forest. The trees glow soft green. The air smells like sweet rain.

Moon Child waits on a stump. Moon Child is small and bright, like a tiny night-light. Moon Child giggles. “Hi, Supergirl!”

From far away, Queen calls, “Help! Help!”

Supergirl looks up. “We go,” she whispers.

They hurry on a mossy path. Tip-tap, tip-tap.

They find Queen near a silver bush. Queen wears a crown with a star on it. She looks worried.

“My forest colors are fading,” Queen says. “The blue is gone. The pink is gone. Even the yellow is sleepy.”

Moon Child gasps. “Nooo. Colors make me happy!”

Supergirl nods. “We will bring them back.”

They walk deeper. The light gets dim. A crystal gate stands there.

Crystal Guardian appears. It is tall. It shines. It is not mean, but it is very strict.

“Stop,” says Crystal Guardian. “No one passes.”

Supergirl’s cape flutters. She feels shy. Her voice is small. “Please. The forest needs colors.”

Crystal Guardian’s eyes glow. “Show me gentle power,” it says.

Moon Child whispers, “Use your hero heart.”

Supergirl takes a slow breath. In. Out.

She bends down and pats the ground. “Hello, little flowers,” she says.

A tiny gray flower tries to open, but it cannot.

Supergirl uses her warm hands. Not too strong. Just right. “You can do it,” she says.

The flower opens. A little purple shines out.

Crystal Guardian watches. “Gentle,” it says.

Queen smiles a little. “Good, Supergirl.”

Crystal Guardian steps aside. “Pass. Find the Color Crystals.”

Behind the gate is a quiet pond. The water looks clear, but not bright.

Three small crystals sit on stones: blue, pink, and yellow. But they are sleepy.

Moon Child pokes one. “Wake up!”

Nothing.

Supergirl thinks. Then she says, “Let’s sing.”

Queen clears her throat. Moon Child hums.

Supergirl sings softly, “Wake, wake, little light.”

The blue crystal twinkles.

They sing again. The pink crystal wiggles.

They sing one more time. The yellow crystal glows like a tiny sun.

All three lift up, floaty and slow, and fly into Supergirl’s hands.

Crystal Guardian returns, quieter now. “You did it with teamwork,” it says. “I was guarding them to keep them safe.”

Supergirl smiles. “Thank you for guarding. Now we share.”

They run back through Ether Forest. Supergirl holds the crystals up.

Blue spills into the sky like a ribbon.

Pink pops onto berries like candy.

Yellow dances on leaves like little lamps.

Queen claps. “My forest is bright again!”

Moon Child laughs. “Look! My toes are blue!”

Supergirl giggles too.

Queen places a small treasure pouch in Supergirl’s hands. “For a true superhero,” Queen says.

Inside are three tiny glow-stickers shaped like stars. “For your cape,” Queen adds.

Supergirl’s eyes shine. “Best treasure,” she says.

Moon Child snuggles close. “Supergirl, you are brave and gentle.”

Supergirl whispers, “And not alone.”

In Ether Forest, the colors stay bright. And the new star stickers glow on her cape all night.
