Zaden River was a little boy on the Ocean. The waves went swish, swish. Zaden held his Teddy Bear tight. Teddy was soft and brave.
On a small boat, Zaden met a Prince. The Prince wore a shiny cape. He looked worried.
“My shell is gone,” said the Prince. “My special seashell. I sleep with it.”
Zaden blinked. “We find it,” he said. Zaden was shy, but his voice was strong.
An Adventurer climbed onto the boat. She had a big hat and a map with a fish on it.
“I know the Ocean,” she said. “We look near the coral. We look near the tall rocks.”
Teddy Bear nodded like a captain. “Hug first,” Teddy seemed to say.
Zaden hugged Teddy. “Okay. Ready.”
They sailed. The Ocean sparkled. A seagull went “kaa!” A little crab waved a tiny claw.
Then the water got quiet. Too quiet.
A Dragon rose from the Ocean with a splash! This Dragon was sea-green and drippy. It had big eyes and a long tail.
“ROAR,” said the Dragon. But it sounded more like “Rrrr…?”
The Prince hid behind Zaden. The Adventurer whispered, “Stay calm.”
Zaden’s knees shook. He held Teddy Bear. He took a slow breath.
“Hello, Dragon,” Zaden said. “We are looking for a lost seashell.”
The Dragon sniffed. “Mine?” it asked.
Zaden shook his head. “Not yours. The Prince’s. He misses it.”
The Prince peeked out. “Please,” he said.
The Dragon frowned. “I found a shell. It makes music. I wanted it near me.”
The Adventurer pointed to the Dragon’s fin. Stuck there was a shiny pink seashell.
Zaden leaned forward. “Dragon, your fin looks itchy.”
“It is,” said the Dragon. “It pokes me. Ouch.”
Zaden had an idea. “We help you. Then we share.”
The Dragon blinked. “Share?”
“Yes,” said Zaden. “We help. You help.”
Teddy Bear lifted one paw like, “Deal.”
The Adventurer used a gentle rope. “Hold still,” she said.
Zaden counted, “One… two… three.”
The Prince reached out carefully. He was scared, but he tried.
Pop! The seashell came free.
The Dragon sighed. “Ahhh.”
The Prince held the shell to his ear. Soft ocean music played. “Thank you!” he said.
The Dragon looked sad. “No music now.”
Zaden patted Teddy Bear, then patted the boat. “We can make music,” Zaden said.
He tapped the boat: tap-tap. The Prince clapped: clap-clap. The Adventurer shook her map: flap-flap. Teddy Bear went “mm-mmm” like a tiny drum.
The Dragon smiled. “I can help!”
It blew a warm puff, not fire, just wind. Whoosh! The waves made a beat.
The Ocean became a silly band.
The Prince said, “Dragon, you can keep a treasure too.” He pulled out a small gold box.
Inside were jingle stones that sparkled.
“Gift,” said the Prince.
The Dragon laughed. “Jingle!”
It shook the stones: jingle-jingle.
Zaden River felt proud. He had been scared, but he used kind words.
The Adventurer gave Zaden a tiny compass charm. “For your brave pocket,” she said.
Zaden hugged Teddy Bear. “We did it,” he whispered.
On the Ocean, they sailed home with music, a happy Prince, a friendly Dragon, and a new shiny compass for Zaden.
