Amethyst and the Lost Pearl

Amethyst was a little Fairy in the Jungle Sanctuary. She was shy, but very brave. Her wings were purple, like a gem. She liked to help small animals.

One warm morning, Princess came to the big vine gate. Princess wore a leaf crown and looked worried.
“Amethyst,” said Princess, “my shiny pearl is gone.”
Amethyst blinked. “Gone?”
Prince walked beside Princess. He tried to smile, but his eyebrows were sad.
“We looked under the big fern,” said Prince. “No pearl.”

Elf hopped down from a branch. Elf was quick and clever, with bright green hair.
“I heard a swish,” Elf whispered. “Near the puddle path.”

Amethyst held her tiny wand. “We will find it,” she said softly.
They all held hands and went into the Jungle Sanctuary.

The jungle was busy. Birds went “tweet!” Monkeys went “oop!” Leaves went “shhh.”
Amethyst listened with her fairy ears.

By the puddle path, they saw sparkly footprints.
Elf pointed. “Look! Glitter steps!”
Prince nodded. “Someone ran.”
Princess hugged her arms. “I miss my pearl.”

A shadow moved behind a tall plant.
Out came Sorceress. She wore a dark cloak, and her eyes were sharp.
“I took the pearl,” Sorceress said.
Princess gasped. Prince stood tall. Elf hid behind a mushroom.
Amethyst’s knees felt wobbly, but she stayed.

“Why?” Amethyst asked.
Sorceress frowned. “The jungle feels too bright. Too happy. I want the shine for myself.”

Amethyst thought. She was shy, but she was kind.
“Your eyes look tired,” Amethyst said. “Did you sleep?”
Sorceress blinked. “No.”

Amethyst fluttered closer, slow and gentle.
“I can make a small, calm light,” she said. “Not too bright. Just cozy.”
Elf peeked out. “Cozy is nice,” Elf said.
Prince added, “You can sit with us.”
Princess nodded. “We can share.”

Sorceress held the pearl tight. Her hand shook.
“I don’t like sharing,” she muttered.
Amethyst raised her wand.
“Soft glow,” she whispered.
A warm purple light twinkled, like bedtime stars.
The jungle did not shout. It hummed.

Sorceress’s shoulders dropped.
“It feels… quiet,” she said.
Her eyes got less sharp.

Then—plop!
The pearl fell into the mud!
Princess cried, “Oh no!”

Elf giggled. “Mud pearl! Silly pearl!”
Prince laughed too, a real laugh.
Amethyst smiled.

Amethyst waved her wand again.
“Clean, clean,” she said.
Water from a nearby leaf drip-drop-dripped onto the pearl.
The mud slid off.
The pearl shone bright again.

Princess clapped. “You found it! You saved it!”
Prince bowed. “Thank you, Amethyst.”
Elf did a tiny dance. “Glitter steps, mystery solved!”

Sorceress looked at the pearl, then at the cozy purple light.
“Could I… keep a little glow?” she asked, small voice.
Amethyst nodded. “Yes. A little.”

Princess opened a small pouch and pulled out a treasure: a tiny box of jungle stickers that sparkled.
“For you,” Princess said.
Prince added a sweet banana chip. “For bravery.”
Elf placed a bright feather in Amethyst’s hair. “For listening.”

Amethyst held her new treasures and felt warm inside.
The Jungle Sanctuary sounded happy again: “tweet, oop, shhh.”
And this time, even Sorceress sat nearby, quiet and calm, under Amethyst’s gentle purple glow.
