Izzy Mae and the Crystal Bell

Kids stories

In the Enchanted Forest, Izzy Mae The Mystical Princess and a friendly Princess meet the Crystal Guardian and help a quiet crystal bell sing again—earning a sparkling crown and shiny pebbles to share.
Izzy Mae and the Crystal Bell

Izzy Mae The Mystical Princess is a girl. She is small. She is kind. She is brave, even when she feels shy.

Today she walks in the Enchanted Forest. The trees hum, “Hmmm, hmmm.” The leaves sparkle like tiny stars.

A Princess comes too. This Princess is gentle and funny. She wears a soft cape. She giggles, “Hee-hee, I like your shiny shoes, Izzy Mae!”

Izzy Mae smiles. “Thank you. Let’s play.”

Then they hear a sound.

Tink… tunk…

A little chime is quiet. Too quiet.

Izzy Mae looks. “The forest bell is not singing.”

The Princess whispers, “Maybe it is lost.”

They follow a trail of tiny crystal dots. Dot. Dot. Dot.

Behind a fern stands the Crystal Guardian. It is tall and made of clear stone. Its eyes glow blue.

“Stop,” says the Crystal Guardian. “No one takes the bell.”

Izzy Mae holds her hands close. Her voice is soft. “We do not want to take. We want to help. The bell makes the forest happy.”

The Crystal Guardian stomps. Crunch, crunch. “I must guard all shiny things. Shiny is mine.”

The Princess steps forward. She bows. “Dear Guardian, we can share. We can listen together.”

The Crystal Guardian tilts its head. “Share?”

Izzy Mae thinks. She has an idea. She points at a puddle. “Look. The water is shiny too. But it shares the sky.”

The Crystal Guardian looks. In the puddle, the sky is bright. A bird flies across. The puddle still shines.

The Guardian’s glow gets smaller. “It does not lose its shine.”

Izzy Mae nods. “No. Sharing keeps the shine.”

The Crystal Guardian is quiet. Then it opens its hands.

Inside is a small bell made of crystal. It is pretty. It is a little dusty.

The Guardian rumbles, “I took it because I was scared someone would break it.”

Izzy Mae’s eyes are wide. “We can be careful.”

The Princess claps softly. “We can carry it together!”

Izzy Mae reaches out. “May I clean it?”

The Guardian nods.

Izzy Mae blows. Pooof. She wipes with her sleeve. She hums a tiny tune. “La la la.”

The bell begins to glow.

Ting-ting!

The forest answers. Ting-ting-ting!

Leaves wiggle. Mushrooms bob. Even the path looks brighter.

The Crystal Guardian blinks. “It… sings.”

Izzy Mae laughs a little. “Yes! It likes friends.”

The Princess says, “Guardian, will you come with us? You can guard it by being near it, not by hiding it.”

The Guardian thinks. Then it nods once. “I will try.”

They walk to a little clearing. In the middle is a low stone stand.

Together, they place the bell on the stand.

Ting!

A small door opens in the stand. Pop!

Inside is a treasure: a tiny crown of rainbow crystals, and a pouch of smooth shiny pebbles.

The Princess gasps. “A forest prize!”

The Crystal Guardian says, softer now, “The bell gives gifts when it is loved.”

Izzy Mae picks up the crown. It is light. It fits her head.

She looks at the Guardian. “You can have pebbles too.”

The Guardian smiles, just a little. “Share.”

The Princess cheers, “Teamwork!”

Ting-ting!

Izzy Mae The Mystical Princess walks home in the Enchanted Forest, wearing her new crystal crown, with new shiny pebbles in her pocket, and a new friend who learned to share.
