Spider-Man is a boy. He is small, and very brave. He wears a red mask with big white eyes.
Today he is in an Alchemy Workshop. It smells like lemon and soap. Glass jars go clink. Little spoons go ting.
Spider-Man pats his pockets. “Oh no,” he says. “My shiny web button is gone.”
A web button is round. It clicks. It helps his web shooter go zip-zip.
From the shadows, a Ninja steps softly. The Ninja is quiet and kind. The Ninja bows. “I will help,” the Ninja whispers.
They look on the table. They look under the table.
“Where can it be?” asks Spider-Man.
The Ninja points to a jar of blue powder. “Not there.”
They open a drawer. It is full of labels. “Sugar.” “Salt.” “Sparkle.”
Spider-Man giggles. “Sparkle!”
Then—thump.
A Bounty Hunter walks in. Big boots. Big belt. A big net.
“I hunt shiny things,” says the Bounty Hunter. “I want that web button.”
Spider-Man feels a little shiver. The Ninja puts a finger to the lips. “Shh. Hide.”
They hide behind a tall bottle. Bubble bubble.
The Bounty Hunter sniffs. “I hear clink-clink,” he grumbles.
Spider-Man looks at the Ninja. “We need it back,” he whispers.
The Ninja nods. “Team.”
They peek.
On the floor is a trail. Tiny silver dots. Like crumbs, but shiny.
“Follow,” says the Ninja.
Tip-toe. Tip-toe.
The trail goes to a big cauldron. The cauldron is warm. The soup inside goes blop-blop.
Spider-Man leans closer. “Hello, soup,” he says.
The soup makes a little plop, and up pops a round shiny thing.
“Button!” Spider-Man gasps.
But the Bounty Hunter is fast. He reaches for it.
“Mine!” he says.
Spider-Man thinks quick. He is brave and clever.
He grabs a spoon and stirs the cauldron—one, two, three.
The Ninja tosses in a pinch of “Sparkle.”
Whoosh!
A soft, safe fog of glitter puffs out. It smells like vanilla.
The Bounty Hunter coughs. “Achoo! Too sparkly!”
He slips on a spilled drop of soap. Plop! He lands on his bottom.
Spider-Man shoots a gentle web. “Stick-stay,” he says.
The web holds the net and the belt to the floor. Not tight, just enough.
The Bounty Hunter blinks. “Well… that is sticky.”
The Ninja bows again. “No taking,” the Ninja says.
Spider-Man picks up his web button. Click.
“Thank you, Ninja,” says Spider-Man.
He looks at the Bounty Hunter. “Do you want a trade?”
The Bounty Hunter frowns. “A trade?”
Spider-Man opens a small box on the shelf. Inside are reward stickers: stars, moons, and tiny spiders.
“You can have one sticker,” Spider-Man says. “But you stop hunting shiny things here.”
The Bounty Hunter looks. His eyes soften. “I like stars,” he mutters.
Spider-Man gives him a big gold star sticker.
The Ninja gently peels the web away. The Bounty Hunter stands up slow.
“Okay,” he says. “No more workshop hunting.” He pats his star. “This is shiny enough.”
Spider-Man laughs. “Good choice!”
Now Spider-Man clicks his web button again. Zip-zip! A tiny web line makes a neat bow on a jar.
The Ninja claps quietly. “New skill,” the Ninja whispers. “Pretty bow.”
Spider-Man beams. “I can make bows with webs!”
In the Alchemy Workshop, jars shine. Friends smile. And the brave little boy named Spider-Man has his button back—and a brand-new web trick, too.
